Sasha Ormond
Counsellor for Change, Meaning & Identity
Whether it's a 'Life-Upside-Down' transition or simply the decision to live a more examined life, I'm here to help thoughtful people navigate the deeper questions using the Adlerian coaching model.

What We Explore
Life Transitions. Relationships. Grief. Illness. Loss. Creativity. Purpose. Identity. Meaning. Existential exhaustion. Core values. Health and wellbeing. Goals, visions and personal insights. Nervous system awareness. When to fight and when to accept."Meanings are not determined by situations, but we determine ourselves by the meanings we give situations"
- Alfred AdlerYou don't need to be in crisis or have all of the answers before we begin. Sometimes the desire to wake up to the present moment, and live life with a stronger sense of meaning is enough.
About
With a background in life coaching, hospice care, contemplative mindfulness practice, somatic approaches, and chronic illness and disability, I support people at any age and stage in having honest, collaborative, sometimes challenging, meaningful conversations about what matters most. My work is strengths-based, future-focussed and grounded in the belief that each person is a complex and evolving whole capable of much more than we think.
Let's explore who you are now, why you're here, and what comes next!

Testimonials
"One of the things I appreciate most about Sasha is how deeply she listens. She asks thoughtful questions that help me see things from a new perspective, and I always leave our conversations feeling heard, supported, and with greater clarity. Her wisdom, compassion, and genuine curiosity create a space where meaningful growth feels possible."
- Karine Jaouich, Consultant"Serious discussions with Sasha are thoughtful, introspective and full of energy and passion. Hard-fought life challenges have imbued Sasha with a fierce and unique perspective on how to overcome/reframe life’s traumas that we often, unsuccessfully, attempt to manage, avoid or endure. Twenty-five years of rich, analytical conversations with Sasha and I continue to marvel at her open and compassionate approach in her fight for what is right and for those who deserve support and dignity - a newfound chance at a life full of success and progress, in spite of adversity."
-Dr. Colin Shaw, PhD (CANTAB), University of Zürich (Check out this humans work/research please!)"Sasha has an exceptional ability to identify the heart of what I'm trying to express - often with remarkable precision! Her insights are both disarming and clarifying, helping me to see my situation with a fresh perspective. If you're looking for a guide who can quickly get to the heart of what matters, a conversation with Sasha is truly worth having."
- E.O. Registered Psychotherapist“Sasha has a unique gift to see peoples fullness / best selves / highest potentials as clear as day. She can articulate your brightness in a way that you believe it. She also has the unique ability to be able to see and sit with the hardest, stickiest parts of life without fear or judgement. Sasha can witness parts that people shy away from, are too embarrassed to even voice, sit with you in that and then guide you to see where you are caught, and help you remember or maybe even see for the first time who you are and believe in your full perfect self and remember / see / live your dreams.”
- Jordan Ramsay, R.TCMP, R.Ac"There is a comfort and connection I have when talking with Sasha that I haven't experienced before with anyone, close friends and family included. I can share the worst of me without feeling shame or judgement, and when I share the best of me, she has a way of lifting me up in such a uniquely genuine way. She always asks thoughtful questions, doesn't shy away from challenging me when I need it, and often reminds me of things I've said or felt in the past that I haven't remembered in the moment. I can laugh from the belly and feel comfortable enough to cry if I need it - not an easy feat for me! Our talks leave me with a sense of clarity, lightness, and inspiration, and they have played a major role in my growth over the years."
-Brent Thompson, Fitness & Mindset Coach"Talking with Sasha leaves me understanding myself better, clear about the next step I need to take, and optimistic about my ability to achieve it. Thanks Sasha!"
- Adrienne Crowder, M.S.W, AAMFT"You help see through what we all become"
-Emilie Mover, musician, philosopher

Disclaimer
I am not a doctor nor a registered psychotherapist through the CRPO, and have, through my specific training, been highly informed in regards to triaging more serious mental health challenges/conditions to other medical professionals in conjunction with or separately from my specific care/modality. It remains my obligation to refer clients to various mental health professionals whose credentials may be better suited in the psychological expertise necessary for certain degrees of mental distress. I receive guidance through peer supervision as is specified in my training as well as my intake and consent forms. My job is always to get individuals the best and most specified care when it is outside of the boundaries of the coaching model. Coaches are best utilized with the understanding that diagnosis or deep psychotherapy is not a part of the work we do together. Further information on my intake and consent forms.
